“i feel like running away. far away.”
“alone?”
“you can come. i’ll sleep while you drive. i don’t want to know where i am when i wake up.”

the plughole
draining guilt away
(2001)
longing to be a part…
letting the pain slip off the rearview mirror
for a split second there was a line of sight between our retinae
feel that christmas spirit
covering us all
with calm silence
the lonely wind fiddles
with the tree’s decorations
while, in the distance,
snow flakes reflect lost hymns
…makes me wish
i could fly away
up to the cold pole
leaving the blinking joy
and color celebrating behind.
(1998)
…please
and when the day arrives
i’ll become the sky
and i’ll become the sea
and the sea will come to kiss me
for i am going
home
nothing can stop me now
nine inch nails
…but the night’s all mine
the absolute void lies ahead.
